CES 2027: Dates, Venues and What to Expect in Las Vegas

October 13, 2026

CES 2027, January 6 to 9, Las Vegas: what to expect

CES 2027 runs January 6–9 in Las Vegas. It's the biggest tech show in the U.S., and this edition comes 60 years after the first CES opened in New York in 1967. Here's what to know about the dates, the venues, what the show is focused on this year, and how to plan if you're walking the floor or exhibiting.

CES 2027 at a glance

  • Dates: Wednesday, January 6 to Saturday, January 9, 2027. CES Unveiled, the media preview, is on Monday, January 4.
  • Where: Las Vegas, across 12 official venues, with the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) as the hub.
  • Who runs it: the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).
  • Registration: open now at ces.tech. Pass prices go up on December 1. At the time of writing, CES listed the Standard Pass at $149 through November 30 and $349 after that. Check the site before you buy.
  • Hotels: onPeak is the only official housing agent for CES 2027. Companies that call or email claiming to be official CES housing aren't connected to the show.

How big is CES?

The audited numbers for CES 2026 give a good idea of the scale:

  • 148,392 attendees, about 4% more than the year before
  • 55,841 of them from outside the U.S., from 141 countries, regions and territories
  • More than 4,100 exhibitors across more than 2.6 million net square feet
  • About 1,200 startups in Eureka Park

Expect crowds, long walks between halls and full restaurants. Planning ahead matters more at CES than at almost any other show.

Where everything is

CES groups exhibitors by topic, and each venue has its own focus. The plan announced for 2027:

  • LVCC West Hall: vehicle tech and mobility
  • LVCC North Hall: AI, energy, smart cities and the Internet of Things
  • LVCC Central Hall: the big brands and entertainment
  • LVCC South Hall: Design & Source exhibitors and accessories
  • The Venetian Expo: digital health, smart home and accessibility, plus Eureka Park, the startup area
  • C Space (ARIA, Vdara, The Cosmopolitan and Park MGM): advertising, content and entertainment
  • CES Foundry at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, January 6–8, now three days instead of two

What to expect this year

AI that earns its keep. AI was everywhere at CES 2026. The talk around 2027 is about AI that cuts costs or brings in revenue, more than what's possible in a demo. Interest in AI among attendees rose 22% last year.

Robots and "physical AI". Interest in robotics rose 26% at CES 2026, and humanoid robots drew some of the biggest crowds. CES has added a "Next Wave of Physical AI" tour for 2027, with stops at the LVCC and the Venetian.

Cars as computers. Mobility has a full hall again, and two of the first keynotes come from carmakers and self-driving companies. Look for connected-car platforms, digital cockpits, electrification and autonomous driving.

Conference sessions. Tracks include artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, and XR and spatial computing. The Premium Pass covers more than 350 sessions.

Keynotes announced so far

  • Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis, on January 6, right after CTA's State of the Industry Address at 8:30 a.m. PT in the Palazzo Ballroom at the Venetian.
  • Tekedra Mawakana, co-CEO of Waymo, also on opening day.
  • Yuanqing Yang, chairman and CEO of Lenovo, who will host Lenovo's Tech World at Sphere at 5 p.m. PT on January 6. It's open only to credentialed CES attendees.

CES usually announces more keynotes through the fall and early winter.

Tips if you're going

  • Register and book early. Pass prices rise on December 1, and the closest hotels fill first.
  • Pick your halls. You won't see all of CES in four days. Choose the areas that matter for your business and plan meetings around them.
  • Wear real walking shoes. Many attendees walk several miles a day.
  • Use the LVCC Loop. The underground Loop links the convention center's halls and saves a long walk.
  • Bring a jacket. January in Las Vegas is cool, with daytime highs usually in the upper 50s °F and colder mornings and evenings.

Exhibiting at CES?

A January show leaves you working around the holidays, so the usual timelines get tighter.

  • Order your display early. We'll confirm the production time when you order, but plan for production, shipping and holiday closures. For CES, we suggest ordering by early December.
  • Read the exhibitor manual now. It lists the advance warehouse dates, shipping labels, material handling rates and what you can carry in yourself. Our guide on shipping a display to a trade show explains how it all works.
  • Small booth? Keep it light. In Eureka Park and other small spaces, a tabletop display or a retractable banner stand travels as checked luggage and sets up in minutes.
  • Planning a 10x10 or 10x20? Start with our 10x10 booth checklist, or browse 10x10 booths and 10x20 booths.
  • Need something bigger or custom? Get a quote and tell us your booth size and show date.

Details come from CES and CTA announcements as of October 2026 and can change. Check ces.tech for the latest schedule, venues and prices.
