10x10 Trade Show Booth Checklist
October 13, 2026
A 10x10 booth is a space 10 ft wide and 10 ft deep. At most shows it comes with pipe and drape: an 8 ft back drape, 3 ft side drapes and a sign with your company name and booth number. Everything else is up to you. Here's what to bring, what to order from the show, and what it costs to put together a complete booth.

Start with the exhibitor manual
Every show publishes an exhibitor manual (sometimes called a service kit). Read it before you buy anything. Look for:
- Height rules. Many shows follow the IAEE guidelines for in-line booths: up to 8 ft tall in the back half of the booth, and 4 ft in the half nearest the aisle.
- What the booth package includes. Some shows include carpet, a table and two chairs. Others give you only the drape and a sign.
- Order deadlines. Electricity, carpet, furniture, internet and material handling are ordered from the show's contractors, usually at a lower price before a deadline.
- Shipping instructions. Where to send your display, and when. See how to ship your display to a trade show.
The checklist
Backwall
The backwall is the biggest graphic in your booth and the first thing people see from the aisle. A 10 ft fabric pop-up is the most popular choice. It sets up in minutes and packs into a bag or case.
- RPL Straight Fabric Pop-Up, 10 ft with graphic: $540.00. The frame weighs 26 lbs and folds up with the graphic attached.
- Hopup Lite, 10 ft with front graphic: $764.94.
- Hopup, 10 ft with front graphic: $1,011.11, straight or curved.
Our full-height 10 ft pop-ups stand about 89" to 90" tall, inside the 8 ft limit. Extra-tall versions reach about 10 ft and are meant for shows that allow them. To compare pop-ups with tension fabric and SEG frames, see our backwall guide.
Banner stand
One or two stands at the sides of the booth add height and a second message. A 33.5" Maui with an 80" graphic is $160.00. Not sure what size? Read what size banner stand do I need.
Table and table throw
A printed table throw turns a plain rented table into part of your display, and hides your supplies underneath. Find out whether the show's table is 6 ft or 8 ft.
- Standard Table Throw, 6 ft: $202.40. It covers all four sides.
- Economy Table Throw, 6 ft: $184.77. The open back leaves room for your legs and your boxes.
- Convertible Table Throw: $323.70. One throw fits both 6 ft and 8 ft tables.
All three are flame-retardant certified for exhibit halls, which many shows require.
Counter (optional)
A counter gives you a place to stand, demo or scan badges. The Transport Case-to-Counter is a wheeled hard case that carries your gear to the show, then becomes a counter with a printed wrap: $743.70 for the kit. See all portable counters.
Lighting and power
Lights make your backwall graphic stand out under hall lighting. Arm lights clip onto most backwalls; the LED RPL Display Light is $129.23. Electricity usually isn't included with booth space, so order it from the show's electrical contractor by the deadline. Bring an extension cord and a power strip.
Floor
Many shows require carpet or another floor covering in every booth. If it isn't in your package, rent it from the show or bring your own.
The rest
- A literature rack or brochure holder
- A monitor stand if you'll show video
- Transport cases for anything that doesn't come with a bag
- Giveaways with your logo
What to pack
Extension cord and power strip, phone chargers, packing tape, scissors or a box cutter, zip ties, hook-and-loop dots, a lint roller, cleaning wipes, pens, business cards, a way to capture leads, water and snacks, and a trash bag.
A complete 10x10 for under $1,000
A 10 ft fabric pop-up ($540.00), a 33.5" banner stand ($160.00) and a printed 6 ft table throw ($202.40) come to $902.40 before shipping and tax. All three are printed with your artwork. For more combinations, see our picks, including a 10x10 on a budget.
When to order
- As soon as you book the space: read the exhibitor manual and note the deadlines.
- At least three weeks before the show: order your display. Every product page shows its production time, and you approve a proof before anything prints. Order earlier for a 10x20 or a custom booth.
- A week before: set everything up once at your office. You'll find any missing piece while there's still time, and setup at the show will go faster.
